If the Internet becomes a public utility, you’ll pay more. Here’s why.

when your country is telling you no

Obama –  instead of banning are freedom, rights and taking our money, why don’t you just try leaving us the hell alone & see how that works out?

Obama’s Federal Communications Commission is in the middle of a high-stakes decision that could raise taxes for close to 90 percent of Americans. The commission is considering whether to reclassify broadband as a telecommunications service and, in doing so, Washington would trigger new taxes and fees at the state and local level.

The agency would like to make Internet service a public utility, placing broadband under Title II regulation of the Communications Act of 1934. This move would make broadband subject to New Deal-era regulation, and have significant consequences for U.S. taxpayers.

Under this decision to reclassify broadband, Americans would face a host of new state and local taxes and fees that apply to public utilities. These new levies, according to the Progressive Policy Institute (PPI), would total $15 billion annually. On average, consumers would pay an additional $67 for landline broadband, and $72 for mobile broadband each year, according to PPI’s calculations, with charges varying from state to state.

Proponents of broadband reclassification, including the left-of-center organization Free Press, claim that it would not result in higher taxes or fees. The recently extended Internet Tax Freedom Act, they assert, prohibits state and local taxation of Internet service. This is incorrect, however. The act does not apply to telecom-related fees.

Free Press and other broadband reclassification proponents also say the new taxes and fees can be prevented if the FCC designates broadband as an interstate service. A Progressive Policy Institute report explains why this also is incorrect:

“When the Commission previously considered the jurisdiction of Internet traffic, it determined that such traffic was ‘largely interstate,’ but ‘jurisdictionally mixed.’ States routinely tax jurisdictionally mixed services that are classified as ‘interstate’ for purposes of regulation. For example, wireless services may not be regulated by state public utility commissions, but they are subject to a host of state and local taxes and fees. In several states, interstate wireless revenues are subject to taxation.”

Late last year, President Barack Obama waded into this contentious debate. He called for the Internet to be treated like a public utility. Critics of Obama’s position point out this would reduce investment in infrastructure and lead to inferior service for consumers. Reclassifying broadband as a telecommunications service would also stifle innovation and restrict the openness of the Internet.

obama silly Change???

The telecommunications industry has invested more than $1.2 trillion on broadband infrastructure since 1996. As a result, roughly 87 percent of Americans have access to broadband. It would be foolish for government to discourage the significant investment required to maintain, expand and improve this infrastructure by subjecting broadband to circa 1930s regulation. Subjecting Internet service providers to such onerous rules would depress innovation and penalize Web users.

Not only would higher taxes and fees leave individuals, families, and employers with less disposable income, a wealth of research indicates it would be bad for the economy.

John Hood, former president of the John Locke Foundation, found that keeping state and local tax and regulatory burdens as low as possible fosters economic growth, when he analyzed 681 peer-reviewed academic journal articles going back to 1990.

“Most studies find,” Hood stated, “that lower levels of taxes and spending, less-intrusive regulation…correlate with stronger economic performance.”

Tax Foundation economist William McBride reviewed academic literature going back three decades and found, “While there are a variety of methods and data sources, the results consistently point to significant negative effects of taxes on economic growth even after controlling for various other factors such as government spending, business cycle conditions and monetary policy.”

In McBride’s survey of 26 studies, dating to 1983, he found “all but three of those studies, and every study in the last 15 years, find a negative effect of taxes on growth.”

The Federal Communications Commission is expected to make its decision early this year. After the more than 20 tax increases signed into law during Obama’s six years in office, the last thing American taxpayers need is a gusher of new taxes and fees triggered by bureaucrats in Washington.

really you still trust the government

JESSICA DESVARIEUX, TRNN PRODUCER: Welcome to The Real News Network. I’m Jessica Desvarieux in Baltimore. And welcome to this edition of The Hudson Report.

Now joining us is Michael Hudson. He is a distinguished research professor of economics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. His two newest books are The Bubble and Beyond and Finance Capitalism and Its Discontents.

Thanks for joining us, Michael.

MICHAEL HUDSON, PROF. ECONOMICS, UMKC: Thank you, Jessica.

DESVARIEUX: So, Micheal, what are you tracking this week?

HUDSON: The big news is all about the Ukraine. And it’s about the events that happened in the shootings on February 20./ Late last week, the German television program ARD Monitor, which is sort of their version of 60 Minutes here, had an investigative report of the shootings in Maidan, and, what they found out is that contrary to what President Obama is saying, contrary to what the U.S. authorities are saying, that the shooting was done by the U.S.-backed Neo Nazi Svoboda Party and the protesters themselves, the snipers and the bullets all came from the Hotel Ukrayina, which was the center of where the protests were going, and the snipers on the hotel were shooting not only at the demonstrators, but also were shooting at their own–at the police and the demonstrators to try to create chaos.

They’ve spoken to the doctors, who said that all of the bullets and all of the wounded people came from the same set of guns. They’ve talked to reporters who were embedded with the demonstrators, the anti-Russian forces, and they all say yes. All the witnesses are in agreement: the shots came from the Hotel Ukrayina. The hotel was completely under the control of the protesters, and it was the government that did it.

So what happened was that after the coup d’état, what they call the new provisional government put a member of the Svoboda Party, the terrorist party, in charge of the investigation. And the relatives of the victims who were shot are saying that the government is refusing to show them the autopsies, they’re refusing to share the information with their doctors, they’re cold-shouldering them, and that what is happening is a coverup.

aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Sound familiar

It’s very much like the film Z about the Greek colonels trying to blame the murder of the leader on the protesters, rather than on themselves.

Now, the real question that the German data has is: why, if all of this is front-page news in Germany, front-page news in Russia–the Russian TV have been showing their footage, showing the sniping–why would President Obama directly lie to the American people? This is the equivalent of Bush’s weapons of mass destruction.

Why would Obama say the Russians are doing the shooting in the Ukraine. That’s justified all of this anti-Russian furor? And why wouldn’t he say the people that we have been backing with $5 billion for the last five or ten years, our own people, are doing the shooting, we are telling them to doing the shooting, we are behind them, and we’re the ones who are the separatists?

What has happened is that the Western Ukraine, the U.S. part, are the separatists trying to break up the Ukraine, in keeping, pretty much, with what Brzezinski advised in his book some years ago when he said breaking Ukraine off from Russia would be the equivalent of blocking any Russian potential military power.

Now, the only American who’s spoken up against this was, President Carter. And Jimmy Carter said in an interview with Salon he’s very worried. He says, quote, “The rest of the world, almost unanimously, looks at America as the No. 1 warmonger. That we revert to armed conflict almost at the drop of a hat–and quite often it’s not only desired by the leaders of our country, but it’s also supported by the people of America.”

Now, the next day in The Financial Times they did an interview with Singapore’s prime minister, Lee. And the prime minister, Lee, said, I think you–to the Financial Times interviewer, “I think you should have thought of that before encouraging the demonstrators on the Maidan.” I think some people–meaning the U.S.–didn’t think through all the consequences. Can you take responsibility for the consequences? And when it comes to grief, will you be there? You can’t be there, since you have so many other interests to protect.

So what foreign leaders are saying: look what American’s doing. This is what it did in the Hungarian Revolution in 1956, and again with the Czechs in 1968. It encourages foreign groups to fight against the Russians, promises support, and then it just leaves them hanging.

The Ukrainians in the East are–the Russian-speakers, are very worried, because the separatists in the West, the American-backed separatists, have already begun to cut off water to Crimea, saying, well, you’re not going to get the water, we’re going to starve you out.

They’ve already come and gone into Eastern Ukraine. They’ve closed down the Russian-speaking TV stations, saying, if you’re trying to defend against the IMF and the eurozone austerity plan that we have, if you’re disagreeing with austerity, if you’re disagreeing for our removing the gas subsidy and making you–razing your rights, we’re accusing you of separatism. They’ve begun to arrest protesters against austerity. They’ve sent in assassination squads to begin killing the people who are protesting the Western-backed austerity plans for the Ukrainians.

Now, already in today’s news you have Ukrainians in Western Ukraine saying, wait a minute, our jobs, to the extent that we’re working for factories and industry–we make real cars for Russia, we make inputs to Russian armaments for the airplanes, for the other things–our market is in Russia. We’ve tried to sell to Germany. We’re not able to sell to Germany. Andrew Jack in today’s Financial Times has an article on that, that there’s already very low living standards in the Eastern Ukraine. Their only hope is to keep employment. Their only means of employment is to sell to Russia. And now they’re being forced into a condition to say, look, either you separate, or we’ll separate and leave you.

Putin has continually said he has no desire at all for Russia to take part of the Eastern Ukraine. And the reason is quite simple. It’s been simple for the last 20 years. Ukraine is not really very self-supporting. It’s a burden to whoever takes it. Russia doesn’t want the burden of supporting the Ukraine.

Putin has asked for a meeting with the Europeans and the Americans to talk about a federal Ukraine, sort of a loose federation where each region will have its own autonomy and all the three regions will agree not to have atom bombs right on their border. What President Obama said over the weekend was, we will only have a meeting if you agree not to charge Ukraine for gas, if you agree to give them gas for nothing at all, without getting paid for gas month after month. You have to promise to keep giving all of Ukraine gas.

And the president has justObama, sent naval vessels with atomic weapons into the Black Sea, threatening Putin to wipe out Russia in 20 minutes. He’s threatening World War III. Europeans are scared stiff about this because they know that they’ll be the first recipients of a Russian retaliation.

ob finger 2Why is America rattling this? Why is he not telling the American people, look, we’ve backed opponents to Russia and I’m afraid they’ve got out of hand, we’re really very sorry that they’ve been shooting innocent civilians, we’re sorry they’re acting illegally, we’re sorry they’re kleptocrats, we’re sorry they have closed all other Russian-speaking TV stations, we’re sorry that they’re–you know, this is bad behavior, this is not democracy, what we want to back is democracy?

But Obama’s not saying that. He’s saying, not only are we backing the Svoboda Party, but we told Putin that no–don’t even bother coming to a meeting with us unless you give Ukraine gas for nothing. Well, Putin gave a speech in Russia saying that Russia is the only country that actually gives to the Ukraine, that is actually giving them gas.

nazi ukraine

McCain with Svaboda Nazi's

Senator John McCain sharing a stage with Tyahnybok in December.2013

Now Germany’s worried–and that’s why it was the German television station that did this investigative report–Germany’s worried because it gets its gas over a pipeline that runs through the Ukraine. And the Ukrainians’ Svoboda Party, the party in charge of investigating the Maidan massacre, is saying, we’re going to blow up the pipelines to Russia, because what we want to do is prevent Russia from getting the foreign exchange by selling its gas that it would use to build up its military power.

So someone in the administration here in America has said, look, if we can just stop Russia from getting export payments for its gas, it won’t have enough money for militarization and we’ll win the Cold War. This is the coup de grace, as Brzezinski wrote in his book before. And this is crazy. The Russians say, well, it’s true that Ukraine is making a lot of our arms, that we’re importing it from them, but we can replicate the factories here. It’ll cost us a little more money, but we have unemployment in Russia. We’re going to have to actually build up our own industry. And we’re obviously thinking very quickly of how much we can export to China, Iran.

me lie.bmp I just changed the promise.bmp smaller

Russia is immediately making a rapprochement with Iran. They’re now questioning whether they’re going to let the Americans withdraw from Afghanistan through Russia by saying, wait a minute, if you just moved naval vessels with atomic weapons right into the Black Sea, threatening, you know, to bomb us?  We’re not going to let your army come into Russia from Afghanistan, because you may just keep on coming. This is crazy.(Obama steps in it again)

Now, normally there’s only a news blackout like that if there’s something very serious going on. I can see Obama is worried about how is he going to go down in history coming off like George Bush with his weapons of mass destruction line, but we may not have more, in a couple of days, of history left if he continues along this path. It’s like the Tom Lehrer song, so long, mommy, I’m off to drop the bomby, I’ll be home when the war is over, a couple of hours from now. That’s the kind of danger that we’re in. And it’s as if the Americans said, well, it’s all about freedom fighters trying to defend themselves against the Russian bear, where it’s really a case of America trying to goad Russia into acting intemperately. So the question is: where are we going to go from here?

Evidence for Russian Involvement in East Ukraine Based on Shoddy Journalism

Robert Parry: The Obama administration and Kiev government claimed that Russian soldiers were present at the building occupations, yet it turns out that this assertion was based on photos the U.S. government provided to NYTimes and that the newspaper since has had to retract – April 24, 14

—————————–

When former President Zelaya of Hondorus was removed from office in July of 2009, the Obama administration joined with leftist dictators Fidel Castro of Cuba, Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, and Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua in calling for his reinstatement. The Obama White House seemed oblivious to the Honduran constitution, as well as the threat Zelaya posed to the stability of the country and the region. When the courageous Honduran people held firm to their democratic constitution and refused to yield to the pressure exerted by the U.S., the Obama administration found no way of saving face other than reversing course

After their amateurish and myopic miscalculation, which exposed the Obama State Department’s lack of experience and incompetence, one could imagine the White House would want to avoid the subject of Honduras and Zelaya altogether.

That, however, does not seem to be the case, as we learn from the new chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL).

According to Ros-Lehtinen, she has received reports that the State Department is applying considerable pressure on members of the Honduran government to absolve Zelaya of his crimes. In a letter earlier this month to Arturo Valenzuela, the assistant secretary of state for western hemisphere affairs, Ros-Lehtinen calls for an end to the coercion of Honduran officials by the U.S. government that is allegedly taking place:

“I am gravely concerned by reports I have received regarding efforts by U.S. officials to pressure the Government of Honduras to absolve former President Manuel Zelaya of the criminal charges he faces in that country and ask, within all applicable rules and guidelines, that if these reports are accurate, the State Department immediately cease exerting such undue influence over duly elected Honduran government officials acting in accordance with Honduran law.”

With Honduras’ economy still in shambles in the aftermath of Zelaya’s attempt to install himself as dictator, the U.S. has announced it will not renew a $215-million aid program that ended in December 2010, which provided farming technology to Honduran farmers and helped improve the country’s infrastructure.

Whether this decision by the Obama administration is a result of their efforts to pressure Honduran officials to grant amnesty to Zelaya is uncertain. Nevertheless, the news does not come at a good time for the administration, and it harkens back to those treacherous days in 2009 when the White House was threatening Honduras with holding back financial aid if it did not comply with its demands. Honduras government officials acted wisely in rescuing Honduras from a president intent on remaining in power indefinitely and dismantling the country’s democratic institutions?   And then their was Egypt and Libya.

And then there was the release of 5 Terrorists

Obama’s Socialist Job Plans For His Second Term Exposed and the GOP has Caved.

From the book “Fool Me Twice” by Aaron Klein (Author), Brenda Elliott (Author)

The last thing the country can afford in the Obama jobs depression is more deficit spending that adds to the trillion-dollar debt while failing yet again to “stimulate” job creation. This Keynesian scheme historically has never succeeded, it has been a complete failure under Obama for four years – and must NOT continue. The GOP caved calling it Compromise.

Republican Congressional leadership must not aid or abet Obama, and the Constitutionalist Conservatives elected by We the People to HALT this insane profligacy ( MUST REMOVE THE GOP LEADERSHIP)  if they collude with Obama.

boehner and obamaFor Obama to persist in pushing this agenda upon a suffering nation is the height of folly and arrogance – and the antithesis of leadership. (AND THE GOP MUST NOT AID OR ABET HIM! )

*From the book Fool Me Twice by Aaron Klein (Author), Brenda Elliott (Author)

Fool Me Twice is based on exhaustive research into the coming plans and presidential policies as well as the specific second term recommendations of the major progressive groups behind Barack Obama and the Democratic leadership.

One of the prime avenues Obama plans to exploit is to initiate vast government programs to create jobs
Fool Me Twice meticulously details the stealth with which the Obama Administration and its allies on the left work in order to inculcate their socialist agenda with regard to government jobs. The book outlines the methodology the Left uses to gain credibility with the public:
In nearly every case, we found each plan was crafted and perfected over time by key progressive organizations and activists, usually first promoted in extensive research and policy papers.

Many times, the plan at hand was only gradually introduced into legislation pushed by progressive Democrats. Progressive marketing strategists, we found, were then brought in to sell the plan to the American public, cloaking the most radical proposals in the guise of moderation, in the bland-sounding rhetoric of popular social ideals.

The December 2009, American Jobs Plan stated that the government should create jobs by “Putting unemployed people to work in jobs that will benefit their communities.” The Economic Policy Council declared, “If the private sector can’t put people back to work, then the public sector must.” This was a planned and coordinated attack using outside organizations.
Once the seeds of the socialist agenda had been planted in the consciousness of the American mind, the plan took the next step:
Introduce, reintroduce, and cut and paste jobs legislation until they manage to force through more and more taxpayer funded government-controlled jobs and entitlement programs.

  barack-obama-making-americans-slaves

For example, on October 7, 2011, The American Jobs Bill of 2011, Obama’s baby, failed to pass the Senate. Ten days later, Senator Robert Menendez of New Jersey tried to reintroduce the first part of the legislation. That failed a Senate vote on October 20. Then the Democrats took part of the defeated jobs bill and introduced the $60 billion Rebuild America Jobs act. On November 3, the Obama Administration voiced its support for the bill, but it lost in the Senate that day.
To truly see the bald-faced attempts at recreating the failed attempts of the FDR era to stimulate economic recovery (which contributed to a ten-year depression) one need look no farther than the newly-minted 21st Century Works Progress Administration, launched by Senator Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey. Supported by the president of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Thomas Buffenbarger, who voiced his support on the Democratic Socialists of America labor blog and just happens to also be a member of the executive council of the AFL-CIO, the new WPA was also cheered on by Paul Krugman in the New York Times.
Of course, the new WPA legislation doesn’t say how many jobs would be created. But the National Taxpayers Union Foundation estimated the cost at $250 billion over the next two years.
As if that frightening reenactment of Roosevelt’s failed policies weren’t enough, Obama also champions the resurrection of another FDR program with the creation of the 21st Century Civilian Conservation Corps. That little idea would cost the American taxpayers a gigantic $1.45 trillion.
And how about the Emergency Jobs to Restore the American Dream Act? It would cost $100 billion.
Fool Me Twice doesn’t miss another salient aspect of the government-creates-jobs plans of the left: the empowerment of unions. And with unions increasingly threatening those who challenge their authority, and union pensions choking the economy, the point is well-taken.
The details of Obama’s plans are economically horrifying. And Fool Me Twice doesn’t sugarcoat the bitter pill Obama wants the American taxpayer to swallow.
by Taboola
While many have general concerns about Obama’s second-term ambitions, Fool Me Twice lays bare the devastating details of the second Obama presidency.
Obama’s re-election theme of creating jobs conceals more than it reveals about his real agenda for a second term. All the main areas of domestic policy are covered – jobs, wages, health care, immigration overhaul, electoral reform, national energy policy. Each of the plans exposed seek to permanently remake America into a government-dominated socialist state. Here are just a few samples from dozens upon dozens of specific schemes unveiled herein:
Detailed plans to enact single-payer health care legislation controlled by the Federal government regardless of any Supreme Court decision to overturn Obamacare;(WPA) program within the Department of Labor that would oversee a massive new bureaucracy and millions of new Federal jobs; Further gutting of the U.S. military in shocking ways, while using the savings for a new green stimulus program and the founding of a Federal green bank to fund so-called environmentally friendly projects;
bolster the United Nations and step up use of peacekeeping deployments;
An expansive new amnesty program for illegal aliens linked with a reduction in the capabilities of the U.S. Border Patrol and, plans to bring in untold numbers of new immigrants with the removal of caps on H-1B visas and green cards.

Fool Me Twice is based on exhaustive research into the coming plans and presidential policies as well as the specific second term recommendations of the major progressive groups behind Barack Obama and the Democratic leadership.

Funding Pakistan, but Military Suspends U.S. Tuition Assistance

The disconnect in Washington continues. While warning us of increased security lines at airports, the TSA pushed through a $50 million deal to buy new uniforms. The USDA warned they will not be able to monitor the food you eat, but will forge ahead with its partnership with the Mexican government on food stamps. There’s also the release of thousands of illegal immigrants from jail by the Homeland Security department, which has posted more than 100 job openings this month alone. There’s the closing the White House to public tours, but they’re giving 139 staffers six-figure salaries! The list of hypocrisy in this government goes on and on, but this latest example of sequester hype may take the cake.

The Pentagon is cutting assistance for American troops! According to members of Congress, the Marines spent $47 million to help graduate 50,000 military members last year. That money represents just a tenth of a percent of the Pentagon’s budget. The Army offered similar assistance by giving $4,500 annually for courses and more than 200,000 soldiers participated in the program.

Here’s the hypocrisy of it all

We’re cutting these programs, but are still spending nearly $13 million on education aid in Pakistan! Where hatred against the U.S. is at record levels! That $13 million is just a fraction of the $370 million we’ve spent on all forms of nondefense aid to Pakistan in 2012, and another $1.5 Billion to Egypt. This administration is really missing a golden opportunity here with this sequester. Instead of acting like a two-year old and throwing a temper tantrum, laying people off, closing the White House, and making other big spectacle cuts, why not really look at where the money is going.Look at smart ways to meet the new budget requirements.

No one’s telling you to never spend another dime. We just ask that for once you spend that money wisely!

Obama has left us with an awesome feeling of depression when we look at the national debt and realize that he’s planning on “solving” that problem by taking whatever else he let us keep during his first four years

Obama Administration Signals Are Very Clear: The American System Will be Allowed To Collapse Totally

With the collapse, the bailouts, and the total failure to pursue any kind of effective recovery program, the signals are very clear: the system will be allowed to collapse totally, thus clearing the ground for a pre-architected ‘solution’.

As the nation state is being dismantled, a new regime of global governance is being established to replace it. As we can see with the UN, WTO, Agenda 21, Sustainable development. IMF (international monetary fund), World Bank, and the other pieces of the embryonic world government, the new global system will make no pretensions about popular representation or democratic process. Rule will be by means of autocratic global bureaucracies, which will take their orders, directly or indirectly, from

The Globalization of Poverty, Michel Chossudovsky explains how globalisation, and the actions of the IMF, created massive poverty throughout the third world over the past several decades. As we can see, with the dramatic emphasis on austerity following the collapse and bailouts, this poverty-creation project has now crossed the Rubicon.

In this new world system there will be no prosperous middle class. Indeed, the new regime will very much resemble the old days of royalty and serfdom (the ancien régime). The banksters are the new royal family, with the whole world as their dominion. The technocrats who run the global bureaucracies, and the mandarins who pose as politicians in the residual nations, are the privileged upper class. The rest of us, the overwhelming majority, will find ourselves in the role of impoverished serfs – if we are lucky enough to be one of the survivors of the collapse process.

Today Americans would be outraged if UN troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil.

The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government.

Henry Kissinger speaking at Evian, France, May 21, 1992 Bilderbergers meeting

The End of Liberty – The Global Police State

For the past four decades, since about 1970, we’ve been experiencing a regime-change process, from an old global system to a new global system. In the old system, first world nations were relatively democratic and prosperous, while the third world suffered under police state tyranny, mass poverty, and imperialism (exploitation by external powers).

As discussed above, the transition process has been characterised by ‘crossing the Rubicon’ the introduction of policies and practices into the first world, that were formerly limited, for the most part, to the third world.

Thus debt bondage to the IMF crossed the Rubicon, enabled by the collapse-bailout scam. In turn, mass poverty is crossing that same Rubicon, due to austerity measures imposed by the IMF, with its new bond-holding powers. Imperialism is also crossing the Rubicon, as the first world comes under the exploitative control of banksters and their bureaucracies, a power nexus that is external to all national identities. Unsurprisingly, police state tyranny is also crossing the Rubicon: the imposition of third world poverty levels requires third world methods of repression.

The anti-globalisation movement can be taken as the beginning of popular resistance to the process of regime change. Similarly, the police response to the Seattle anti-globalisation demonstrations, in November 1999, can be taken as the ‘crossing of the Rubicon’ for police state tyranny. The excessive and arbitrary violence of that response – including such things as holding people’s eyes open and spraying pepper into them – was unprecedented against non-violent demonstrators in a first world nation.

Ironically, that police response, particularly as it was so widely publicised, actually strengthened the anti-globalisation movement. As demonstrations grew in size and strength, the police response grew still more violent. A climax of sorts was reached in Genoa, in July 2001, when the levels of violence on both sides began to resemble almost a guerilla war.

In those days the anti-globalisation movement was dominating the international news pages, and opposition to globalisation was reaching massive proportions. The visible movement was only the tip of an anti-systemic iceberg. In a very real sense, general popular sentiment in the first world was beginning to take a radical turn. Movement leaders were now thinking in terms of an anti-capitalist movement. There was a political volatility in the air, a sense that, just maybe possibly, enlightened popular sentiment might succeed in shifting the course of events.

All of that changed on September 11, 2001, the day the towers came down. The anti-globalisation movement, along with globalisation itself, disappeared almost totally from public consciousness on that fateful day. Suddenly it was a whole new global scenario, a whole new media circus – with a new enemy, and a new kind of war, a war without end, a war against phantoms, a war against ‘terrorism’.

Earlier we saw how the orchestrated financial collapse of September 2008 enabled certain ongoing projects to be rapidly accelerated, such as the dismantlement of sovereignty, and the imposition of austerity. Similarly, the events of September 2001 enabled certain ongoing projects to be greatly accelerated, such as the abandonment of civil liberties and international law.

Before the towers had even come down, the ‘Patriot Act’ had already been drafted, proclaiming in no uncertain terms that the police state was here (in the USA) in force and here to stay – the Bill of Rights was null and void. Before long, similar ‘anti-terrorist’ legislation had been adopted throughout the first world. If any anti-systemic movement were to again raise its head in the first world (as it did, for example, recently in Greece), arbitrary police powers could be brought to bear – as much as might be necessary – to put the resistance down. No popular movement would be allowed to derail the banksters’ regime-change designs. The anti-globalisation movement had been shouting, ‘This is what real democracy looks like’. With 9/11, the banksters replied: ‘This is what real oppression looks like’.

The events of 9/11 led directly to the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan, and in general helped create a climate where invasions of sovereign nations could be readily justified, with one excuse or another. International law was to be as thoroughly abandoned as was civil liberties. Just as all restraint was removed from domestic police interventions, so was all restraint being removed from geopolitical military interventions. Nothing was to stand in the way of the banksters’ regime-change agenda.

The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society… dominated by the Progressive left elite, unrestrained by traditional values… this elite would not hesitate to achieve its political ends by using the latest modern techniques for influencing public behaviour… Persisting social crisis, the emergence of a charismatic personality, and the exploitation of mass media to obtain public confidence would be the stepping-stones in the piecemeal transformation of the United States into a highly controlled society… In addition, it may be possible – and tempting – to exploit for strategic political purposes the fruits of research on the brain and on human behaviour.

Whatever the exact date, all the threads will come together, geopolitically and domestically, and the world will change. It will be a new era, just as capitalism was a new era after aristocracy, and the Dark Ages followed the era of the Roman Empire. Each era has its own structure, its own economics, its own social forms, and its own mythology. These things must relate to one another coherently, and their nature follows from the fundamental power relationships and economic circumstances of the system.

Whenever there is a change of era, the previous era is always demonised in a new mythology. With the rise of European nation states, the Catholic Church was demonised, and Protestantism introduced. When republics came along, the demonisation of monarchs was an important part of the process. In the post-2012 world, democracy and national sovereignty will be demonised. This will be very important, in getting people to accept arbitrary totalitarian rule…

In those terrible dark days, before the blessed unification of humanity, anarchy reigned in the world. One nation would attack another, no better than predators in the wild. Nations had no long-term coherence; voters would swing from one party to another, keeping governments always in transition and confusion. How did anyone ever think that masses of semi-educated people could govern themselves, and run a complex society? Democracy was an ill-conceived experiment that led only to corruption and chaotic governance. How lucky we are to be in this well-ordered world, where humanity has finally grown up, and those with the best expertise make the decisions for the whole globe.

Capitalism is about growth, progress, and change. Under capitalism the virtues of ambition, initiative, and competitiveness are praised, because those virtues serve the dynamics of capitalism. People are encouraged to always accumulate more, and never be satisfied with what they have. Under capitalism, people need to have a bit of liberty, and a bit of prosperity, so that the dynamics of capitalism can operate. Without some liberty, ambition cannot be pursued; without some prosperity, how could accumulation be pursued? In the post-capitalist world, the capitalist virtues will be demonised. This will be very important, in getting people to accept poverty and regimentation…

The pursuit of money is the root of all evil, and the capitalist system was inherently corrupt and wasteful. Anarchy reined in the marketplace, as corporations blindly pursued profit, with no concern for human needs or for the Earth. How much more sensible are our production brigades, producing only what is needed, and using only what is sustainable. Capitalism encouraged greed and consumption; people struggled to compete with one another, to ‘get ahead’ in the rat race.

How much wiser we are now, to live within our ration quotas, and to accept our assigned duties, whatever they might be, in service to humanity.

In this regime change, ushering in the post-capitalist era, we’re seeing a conscious orchestration of economics, politics, geopolitics, and mythology – as one coordinated project. A whole new reality is being created, a whole new global culture. When it comes down to it, the ability to transform culture is the ultimate form of power. In only a single generation, a new culture becomes ‘the way things are’. And what, we might inquire, might stand in the way of any future manipulations of the cultural regime that the bankster royal family might contemplate?

Ever since public education was introduced, the state and the family have competed to control childhood conditioning – and it is in childhood that culture is transmitted to the next generation. In the micromanaged post-capitalist future, we’ll most likely see the ‘final solution’ of social control, which is for the state to monopolise child raising.

This would eliminate from society the parent-child bond, and hence family-related bonds in general. No longer is there a concept of relatives, just fellow members of the hive. The family must be demonised. Already, in Ireland, there are daily TV spots dramatising the plight of children who are being abused or neglected by their parents…

How scary were the old days, when unlicensed, untrained couples had total control over vulnerable children, behind closed doors, with whatever neuroses, addictions, or perversions the parents happened to possess. How did this vestige of patriarchal slavery, this safe-house den of child abuse, continue so long to exist, and not be recognised for what it was? How much better off we are now, with children being raised scientifically, by trained staff, where they are taught discipline and healthy values.?

He did not take Austria by tanks and guns; We elected him by a landslide – 98% of the vote

By Kitty Werthman

I am an eyewitness to history. I can tell you that Hitler did not take Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history. We elected him by a landslide – 98% of the vote. I’ve never read that in any American publications. Everyone thinks Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.

In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression. Nearly one-third of our workforce was unemployed. We had 25% inflation and 25% bank loan interest rates. Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily. Young people were going from house to house begging for food. Not that they didn’t want to work; there simply weren’t any jobs. My mother was a Christian woman and believed in helping people in need. Every day we cooked a big kettle of soup and baked bread to feed those poor, hungry people – about 30 daily.

The Communist Party and the National Socialist Party were fighting each other. Blocks and blocks of cities like Vienna, Linz, and Graz were destroyed. The people became desperate and petitioned the government to let them decide what kind of government they wanted.

We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany, where Hitler had been in power since 1933. We had been told that they didn’t have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living. Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group – Jewish or otherwise. We were led to believe that everyone was happy. We wanted the same way of life in Austria . We were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment and help for the family. Hitler also said that businesses would be assisted, and farmers would get their farms back. Ninety-eight percent of the population voted to annex Austria to Germany.

We were overjoyed, and for three days we danced in the streets and had candlelight parades. The new government opened up big field kitchens and everyone was fed.

After the election, German officials were appointed, and like a miracle, we suddenly had law and order. Three or four weeks later, everyone was employed. The government made sure that a lot of work was created through the Public Work Service.

Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women. Before this, it was a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home. An able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn’t support his family.

Hitler Targets Education-Eliminates Religious Instruction for Children:

Our education was nationalized. I attended a very good public school. The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler’s picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn’t pray or have religion anymore. Instead, we sang “Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles,” and had physical education.

Sunday became National Youth Day with compulsory attendance. Parents were not pleased about the sudden change in curriculum. They were told that if they did not send us, they would receive a stiff letter of warning the first time. The second time they would be fined the equivalent of $300, and the third time they would be subject to jail. The first two hours consisted of political indoctrination. The rest of the day we had sports. As time went along, we loved it. Oh, we had so much fun and got our sports equipment free. We would go home and gleefully tell our parents about the wonderful time we had.

My mother was very unhappy. When the next term started, she took me out of public school and put me in a convent. I told her she couldn’t do that and she told me that someday when I grew up, I would be grateful. There was a very good curriculum, but hardly any fun – no sports, and no political indoctrination. I hated it at first but felt I could tolerate it. Every once in a while, on holidays, I went home. I would go back to my old friends and ask what was going on and what they were doing. Their loose lifestyle was very alarming to me. They lived without religion. By that time unwed mothers were glorified for having a baby for Hitler. It seemed strange to me that our society changed so suddenly. As time went along, I realized what a great deed my mother did so that I wasn’t exposed to that kind of humanistic philosophy.

Equal Rights Hits Home

In 1939, the war started and a food bank was established. All food was rationed and could only be purchased using food stamps.

At the same time, a full-employment law was passed which meant if you didn’t work, you didn’t get a ration card, and if you didn’t have a card, you starved to death. Women who stayed home to raise their families didn’t have any marketable skills and often had to take jobs more suited for men.

Soon after this, the draft was implemented. It was compulsory for young people, male and female, to give one year to the labor corps. During the day, the girls worked on the farms, and at night they returned to their barracks for military training just like the boys. They were trained to be anti-aircraft gunners and participated in the signal corps. After the labor corps, they were not discharged but were used in the front lines. When I go back to Austria to visit my family and friends, most of these women are emotional cripples because they just were not equipped to handle the horrors of combat. Three months before I turned 18, I was severely injured in an air raid attack. I nearly had a leg amputated, so I was spared having to go into the labor corps and into military service.

Hitler Restructured the Family Through Daycare:

When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government immediately established child care centers. You could take your children ages 4 weeks to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, 7 days a week, under the total care of the government. The state raised a whole generation of children. There were no motherly women to take care of the children, just people highly trained in child psychology. By this time, no one talked about equal rights. We knew we had been had.

Health Care and Small Business choked by Government Controls:

Before Hitler, we had very good medical care. Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna …

After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone. Doctors were salaried by the government. The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full. If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn. There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine. Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries.

As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80% of our income. Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household. We had big programs for families. All day care and education were free. High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized. Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing.

We had another agency designed to monitor business. My brother-in-law owned a restaurant that had square tables. Government officials told him he had to replace them with round tables because people might bump themselves on the corners. Then they said he had to have additional bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar. He couldn’t meet all the demands. Soon, he went out of business. If the government owned the large businesses and not many small ones existed, it could be in control.

We had consumer protection. We were told how to shop and what to buy. Free enterprise was essentially abolished. We had a planning agency specially designed for farmers. The agents would go to the farms, count the live-stock, and then tell the farmers what to produce, and how to produce it.

“Mercy Killing” Redefined:

In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps . The villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated. So people intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded. When I arrived, I was told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and did good manual work. I knew one, named Vincent, very well. He was a janitor of the school. One day I looked out the window and saw Vincent and others getting into a van. I asked my superior where they were going. She said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them a trade, and to read and write. The families were required to sign papers with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months. They were told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesickness.

As time passed, letters started to dribble back saying these people died a natural, merciful death. The villagers were not fooled. We suspected what was happening. Those people left in excellent physical health and all died within 6 months. We called this euthanasia.

The Final Steps – Gun Laws:

Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily.

No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away.

We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.

Totalitarianism didn’t come quickly; it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria. Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath. Instead, we had creeping gradualism. Now, our only weapons were broom handles. The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little eroded our freedom.

After World War II, Russian troops occupied Austria. Women were raped, preteen to elderly. The press never wrote about this either. When the Soviets left in 1955, they took everything that they could, dismantling whole factories in the process. They sawed down whole orchards of fruit, and what they couldn’t destroy, they burned. We called it “The Burned Earth.” Most of the population barricaded themselves in their houses. Women hid in their cellars for 6 weeks as the troops mobilized. Those who couldn’t; paid the price. There is a monument in Vienna today, dedicated to those women who were massacred by the Russians. This is an eye witness account.

It’s true. Those of us who sailed past the Statue of Liberty came to a country of unbelievable freedom and opportunity. America Truly is the greatest country in the world. Don’t let freedom slip away.

After America, there is no place else to go!

Barack Obama and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke Have Fleeced More Wealth From Folks On Main Street Than The Previous 20 Years Combined.

President Barack Obama and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke have  gone to great lengths to promote a message that we have nothing to worry about. But a simple trip to the grocery store, gas station, or mall will tell you otherwise.

Food prices have risen every month since June of 2010 and 57% in the first two years of President Obama’s term in office.

Gas prices are up 34% during that same time period.

And cotton has hit a 150-year high, as the price of this essential clothing commodity has soared 210% since the 2009 inauguration.

In the first two years of their joint reign, Obama and Bernanke have waged a hidden inflation war on the middle class that has fleeced more wealth from folks on Main Street than the previous 20 years combined.

These two men, along with their cohorts in D.C. and at the Fed, have set America on a road to financial perdition. A path of economic ruin that jeopardizes your ability to live a life of freedom and prosperity.

But Helicopter Ben Was Up to This Mischief Even
Before President Obama Was Sworn In.

In just his first four years in office, Bernanke has been the captain of a reckless and out-of-control money printing press that has drowned America in more “new cash” than was created during the entire 26-year period from 1959-1985.

Because, despite this overwhelming evidence that our country is headed down a road to financial perdition . . . Obama and Bernanke’s well-orchestrated misdirection (with the help of the mainstream media), has led millions of people into a false lull.

Unfortunately, those people don’t know that Ben Bernanke and his predecessor, Alan Greenspan, repeatedly “redefined” inflation to hide dangerous rises in the prices of food, energy, and other critical, everyday items that affect your ability to live a comfortable life.

And it’s not just the inflation statistics that have been “redefined” to help hide the coming calamity . . .

Most of us understand that the employment situation is quite dire in the U.S. today.

But few people understand the extent of what has been hidden from them, thanks to the government’s “re-imagining” of the term “unemployment” in 1994, and the Fed’s universal adoption of this new definition.

So while we are officially told our nation is suffering from nearly double-digit joblessness . . . the real figure could be twice as bad . . . or even worse.

The mainstream media have played along with Washington’s ruse. They’ve kept the complete picture of the inflation and unemployment crisis in the shadows.

And this has caused too many to let their guards down.

For Those Who Don’t Know the Truth . . .
It All Looks Calm and Quiet on the Home Front

Maybe they even believe that a recovery is truly around the corner.

Little do they know that their wealth is unprotected and vulnerable to an inflation assault they never saw coming.

Soon there will be nowhere to hide and nothing to stop an economic nightmare from gripping our country.

Our founding fathers understood that the Constitution would be necessary to protect all citizens from the government.

Its Amazing that Americans have been so dumbed down that they elected a President that HATES AMERICA. bankrupts the country,,destroys the middle class, and puts Socialist Czars in control of our people.

Government has no ability, whatsoever, to give freedom to anyone. Government can only take freedoms away. Our founding fathers fully understood this fundamental truth. They did not view government as a potential source of good, but as a necessary evil. Although they understood that limited government would be necessary to protect individual citizens from each other, they also understood that the Constitution would be necessary to protect all citizens from the government. Our founding fathers knew that if they did not restrain the government with the constitution, then nothing would stop it from taking all of our liberties away. This is simply the nature of the beast.

Bill Nelson and Barack Obama Promised Reform. The Results for Seniors Are Disastrous.

They forced a bill through Congress even when the American People overwhelmingly opposed it.

Nelson and Obama’s Health Care Law:Cuts $500Billion from Medicare

Creates a board of 15 unelected ,unaccountable bureaucrats: The independant advisory board or(IPAB)

The IPAB has the power to cut Medicare in order to pay for new government programs.

This Medicare I.R.S can ration care and deny certain Medicare treatments so Washington can fund more wasteful spending.

Unaccountable bureaucrats should never have the power to deny you care, cut your Medicare,Ration your care,Or deny you treatment

Obama Neglect’s US Taxpayers and sends Billions abroad

Loading…

In addition to the billions expected to be promised to Egypt and Tunisia, and the sanctions being placed on Syria, Obama has already announced hundreds of millions of dollars in assistance to Jordan. Jordan however is not a Middle East nation where an Arab Spring live resolution has taken places. This has many questioning the sincerity of the money being sent in support of pro-democracy Arab uprisings.???  (Hamas and the muskim brotherhood)

All in all, billions of US tax payer dollars are being poured into the Middle East and North African regions while at home American famalies and the elderly continue to suffer.
Across the United States most municipalities and states are slashing spending and curtailing budgeted programs. Social programs, welfare, unemployment benefits and the like. This, while more and more Americans find themselves without homes, unemployed and unable to afford food for the next day as prices for food up 57%,utilities and gas soar.
American taxpayer dollars are being used to finance the well-being of others while Americans are unable to cope with their own problems. Many feel Obama is neglecting domestic issues and the US economy by focusing too much on Arab revolutions – placing foreign policy above his own people.
