The goal Democrat amnesty supporters is not to bring 11 million illegal immigrants humanely “out of the shadows,” but to turn them into voters.

A Politico cover story perfectly encapsulates the bizarre, insular world of the D.C. political establishment. The article purports to take readers behind the scenes of the strategic machinations of the Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) campaign

It is a fairly basic rule of thumb that campaign staffs should always make political stories about the candidate, not themselves. Barely 100 words into the story, however, the reader introduced to no fewer than three top aides to Rubio. Worse, the story is devoted to chronicling an allegedly brilliant trap the three had set for one of Rubio’s rivals.

Obviously, staff have a large role in developing and executing a campaign, but publicly this should always be subordinate to the candidate. Did the staff who leaked this story want to profile Marco Rubio or themselves?

Read the article, you’ll learn that was a rhetorical question.

Most political campaigns are surrounded by people who seek the limelight for themselves. On its own, this Politico story is part of a sad legacy of campaign advisors who try to use an election to raise their own personal profile.

This article, though, creates an entirely new chapter of the genre because it chooses to highlight a strategy that can only be described as inane. The “trap” supposedly hatched by the Rubio staff was to pick an arcane fight over technicalities of a bill that itself represents an existential threat to Rubio’s candidacy.

One of the biggest obstacles to Marco Rubio winning the Republican nomination was his decision to co-sponsor the infamous “Gang of 8” immigration reform bill. Written primarily by Sens. Dick Durbin and Chuck Schumer, the legislation provided a quick path to amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants with the barest fig-leaf of border protections far into the future.

Rubio took the lead on the effort just months after President Obama won reelection, at a time that the D.C. Republican party establishment was desperate to enact some kind of immigration reform. It represented a complete misreading of the public and, especially, the Republican base.

Just over a year later, Republicans would thunder into a Senate Majority, largely by campaigning against the very amnesty provisions contained in Rubio’s bill.

Recognizing that the amnesty legislation currently represents a challenge to Rubio’s ambitions, the Rubio campaign staff, according to Politico, has chosen to actually use this legislation against one of his chief rivals, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)

. Their “smoking gun” was an amendment to the Gang of 8 bill proposed by Cruz that would have allowed legalizing illegal immigrants but permanently blocked them from becoming citizens.

Politico sets the scene in Rubio’s headquarters when Cruz said during the most recent debate that he didn’t support legalization:

In that moment, Rubio campaign manager Terry Sullivan, top adviser Todd Harris and communications director Alex Conant recognized what they’d accomplished because they’d been planning this exchange all along. Not only had Cruz just contradicted his own statements from 2013, he’d used words that gave them the opening they had been wanting to turn their rival’s anti-establishment narrative on its head.

So, Rubio’s “trap” for Cruz was to compare his stated position to a hostile legislative amendment filed to a proposal he was opposing.

“This was an attempt by Cruz to kill the  Amnesty bill,” Sen. Chuck Schumer, co-author of the Gang of Eight bill said of Cruz’s amendment. “And there was no doubt at the time that Senator Cruz knew it would do exactly that.”

What Cruz understands is that the goal of Sens. Schumer, Durbin and other Democrat amnesty supporters is not to bring 11 million illegal immigrants humanely “out of the shadows,” but to turn them into voters.

Cruz’s amendment exposed that truth.

The particularly inane part of the Rubio staff’s strategy is that they are choosing to focus on complicated, inside-baseball legislative machinations around legislation that was sponsored by Rubio and hated by an overwhelming majority of Republicans.

Rubio’s campaign ought to focus on foreign policy and try to forget the Senator ever embraced amnesty in the first place. When the chief opponent of Rubio’s amnesty legislation, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) 80% publicly lists Cruz as an ally against amnesty, no one, other than a Politico reporter, is going to take seriously Rubios campaign’s spin.

If anything, the entire episode simply reminds Republican voters that Marco

Rubio did team up with Sens. Schumer and Durbin to push amnesty legislation.

In the 1980 primary, Ronald Reagan’s primary challenges tried to argue that he had supported tax hikes in the past or had been pro-choice on abortion. These weren’t really true, but rather based on creative reading of past legislative debates. Voters didn’t buy it, no matter how clever the challengers, or their staffs, tried.

Rubio’s weird attempt to blunt his own record on amnesty by claiming that Cruz at one time supported something like it seems equally doomed to fail.

Pollster Frank Luntz reported that Ted Cruz scored the highest positive ratings during the Las Vegas debate. Cruz didn’t really have any of the memorable zingers or one-liners that political pundits dissect. What he did have was composure and confidence, at a time that much of the public is filled with anxiety.

ted cruz bst flag

That anxiety is fueled in no small part by a feeling that the political class in Washington is out of touch and almost inhabits an alternate universe. A universe where a campaign to be the leader of the free world leaks its internal strategy deliberations to Politico.

Congress can in fact block funding for President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty order

immigrants crossing borderThe Congressional Research Service (CRS) has concluded that House Appropriations Committee chairman Rep. Hal Rogers (R-KY) is wrong, and that Congress can in fact block funding for President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty order.

In light of Congress’s constitutional power over the purse, the Supreme Court has recognized that ‘Congress may always circumscribe agency discretion to allocate resources by putting restrictions in the operative statutes,’” the CRS, a legislative authority on Capitol Hill, wrote in a report sent to incoming Senate Budget Committee chairman Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL). “Where Congress has done so, ‘an agency is not free simply to disregard statutory responsibilities.’ Therefore, if a statute were enacted which prohibited appropriated funds from being used for some specified purposes, then the relevant funds would be unavailable to be obligated or expended for those purposes.”

Sessions’ team provided the CRS report—which is not made public unless members of Congress who request such reports decide to make them so—exclusively to Breitbart News.

Rogers, last week, argued that Congress could not block funding for Obama’s executive amnesty because the agency that will be printing the work authorization and other documents for illegal aliens—U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)—operates primarily on fees it collects rather than from tax revenue collected by the federal government.

(Caving Planned by Speaker John Boehner to Obama on executive amnesty smiley-angry019 )

The House Appropriations Committee, which Rogers chairs, said in a statement last week:

The primary agency for implementing the President’s new immigration executive order is the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This agency is entirely self-funded through the fees it collects on various immigration applications. Congress does not appropriate funds for any of its operations, including the issuance of immigration status or work permits, with the exception of the ‘E-Verify’ program. Therefore, the Appropriations process cannot be used to ‘de-fund’ the agency. The agency has the ability to continue to collect and use fees to continue current operations, and to expand operations as under a new Executive Order, without needing legislative approval by the Appropriations Committee or the Congress, even under a continuing resolution or a government shutdown.

But the CRS report that Sessions requested shows that is untrue. Even if an agency like USCIS operates on fees rather than tax revenues appropriated by Congress, the Congress can still block funding for the implementation of such matters as Obama’s executive amnesty. CRS wrote:

A fee-funded agency or activity typically refers to one in which the amounts appropriated by Congress for that agency or activity are derived from fees collected from some external source. Importantly, amounts received as fees by federal agencies must still be appropriated by Congress to that agency in order to be available for obligation or expenditure by the agency. In some cases, this appropriation is provided through the annual appropriations process. In other instances, it is an appropriation that has been enacted independently of the annual appropriations process (such as a permanent appropriation in an authorizing act). In either case, the funds available to the agency through fee collections would be subject to the same potential restrictions imposed by Congress on the use of its appropriations as any other type of appropriated funds.

Cutting the legalese language here, basically this means that, no matter how USCIS gets it money—even if it’s from a prior authorization appropriation that is permanent and based on fee collection—Congress can still restrict the use of that money for some purposes.

On the night Obama announced the amnesty—last Thursday—Sessions said that the House of Representatives must lead by passing a government funding bill that blocks any money being spent on Obama’s amnesty.

The House should send the Senate a government funding bill which ensures no funds can be spent for this unlawful purpose,” Sessions said. “If [Outgoing Senate Majority Leader Harry] Reid’s Senate Democrats vote to surrender their own institution to an imperial dictate and block the measure, then the House should send a short-term funding measure so the new GOP majority can be sworn in and pass a funding bill with the needed language.”

The Conservative Review’s Daniel Horowitz laid out on Tuesday how one of the things “lost amidst the hullabaloo of mob rule in Ferguson” is that the GOP is planning to “capitulate” to Obama’s amnesty. Part of that caving by Speaker John Boehner to Obama on executive amnesty, Horowitz notes, is that Republicans will promise to fight later—but won’t block the funding of it now.

boehner and obama 1borhner and obama 2boener obama reid pelosi “This strategy allows GOP leaders to promise a fight three months from now, after Obama’s executive action becomes more entrenched, without having to fight on defund immediately,” Horowitz wrote. “It will also buy them time to work on the second step: negotiating with Obama to pass amnesty legislatively.”

“No compromise with the main purpose, no peace till victory, no pact with unrepentant wrong.” – Winston Churchill

Steven Coburn asked Pelosi “Do you have naked photos of John Boehner doing something?”  He should have asked  Valerie Jarrett instead “Do you have naked photos of John Boehner doing something?”

If Rogers—or other top allies of Speaker Boehner like 2012 GOP vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)—don’t block the funding of Obama’s executive amnesty, they could face dire consequences.

“Some Kentucky activists are already talking about a primary challenge to Representative Harold Rogers, chairman of the Appropriations Committee, who has been in office since 1981,” the New York Times’ Jeremy Peters wrote on Tuesday. “Breitbart News, a conservative website, reported on the possible primary challenger this week. Mr. Rogers’ office has said Congress could not simply defund the president’s directive, because the agency that carries it out, Citizenship and Immigration Services, is not financed by appropriations but by the fees it generates.”

Later in the story, Peters noted that Ryan and even Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) could face primary challenges in 2016.

“Other potential primary targets, Tea Party groups say, are Representative Paul D. Ryan of Wisconsin, the 2012 Republican vice-presidential nominee, and even Senator Marco Rubio, Republican of Florida, who was elected initially with the help of Tea Party energy,” Peters wrote.

Obama can veto bills, of course, and he surely will. But what he can’t do is shove insane, left-wing nonsense down the nation’s collective throat. That’s over

demagogue

Enough.

Dan Calabrese on Wednesday November 5th, 2014

The American public realized not long after the 2012 election that they had blown it. Given the opportunity to fire Barack Obama and turn the federal government back in a wise direction, they should have seized the moment and done just that. Instead, they got caught up nonsense like Big Bird and “binders full of women”, and in not liking rich, CEO-ish Republicans, and as a result they dropped the ball and stuck the nation with four more years of an unserious, unqualified, inept president.

Oops. Sadly, the Constitution doesn’t offer a mechanism for correcting that mistake. Just don’t do it again, boneheads.

But what the electorate could do, it did last night. In essence, America told Obama to step aside. By giving Republicans at least a 52-seat majority in the U.S. Senate, and probably its biggest House majority since Franklin Delano Roosevelt was president, the nation sent Obama to the sidelines. Not a single piece of legislation will reach his desk for the remainder of his presidency without massive Republican backing.

Obama can veto bills, of course, and he surely will. But what he can’t do is shove insane, left-wing nonsense down the nation’s collective throat. That’s over.

He also can’t hide behind Senate inaction like he did when Harry Reid controlled the upper chamber and routinely bottled up any piece of legislation that came out of the Republican House – not even allowing commitee hearings or floor debates, let alone votes.

The nation has passed judgment on Barack Obama’s presidency, and the verdict is thumbs down. People were not fooled by recent GDP growth numbers or falling gas prices. They were able to assess a six-year record of sluggish growth, falling labor force participation, rising food stamp dependence, hostility toward business and meddling in private markets – particularly health care – and recognize that it’s made things worse and not better. They were able to look at America’s declining influence in an increasingly chaotic world and recognize that a president who rejects America’s global leadership role doesn’t do any good for America or the rest of the world. And they were able to see that juvenile blather about the “war on women” and so forth demonstrates complete unseriousness from a party that said it would govern, not endlessly campaign.

The media tried its best to protect Obama by ignoring stories like the IRS scandal, but in an era of alternative and social media, it didn’t work. People knew that instead of serving the public, the Obama White House was using government agencies to serve itself at the expense of anyone who opposed them or their agenda.

Liberals will offer predictable excuses, of course. They’ll say it was just an anti-incumbent election, or that it reflected nonspecific “voter anger,” or that it was the product of too many Democrats defending seats in red states. That will come as a surprise to the conservative blue state governors who won re-election last night. Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and Florida all joined in the mistake of electing and re-electing Obama, and also put conservatives back in their statehouses last night. This was not an “anti-incumbent” nor was it an “anger” election. It was a rejection of Obama and of liberalism, pure and simple.

Today, Obama is relegated to a reactive presidency, except to the extent that he can go around Congress and use unconstitutional executive orders in lieu of passing legislation – and given his track record you can be sure he will try. But now when he does so, he will no longer have Harry Reid protecting him by refusing to look into it in the Senate.

SupremeCourtsReasonForExistingAlso, in the event there is a Supreme Court vacancy in the next two years, Obama will not be able to appoint an insane left-wing Justice with the assistance of a Democrat majority.

This is not to say it will be easy for the Republican majority. They will surely face shrieking about “extremism” from day one, and of course they still have to contend with Obama’s veto pen. But we can expect real budgets, real investigations and real policy progress. Obama has been essentially neutered by a nation that realizes it should have done so two years ago, but did what it could now to make up for the error.

I know many conservatives had little confidence in John Boehner and Mitch McConnell. I share their skepticism. So I’ll tell you this: A Facebook friend who is tight with the Republican establishment in Washington has been saying for the longest time that if the GOP were ever to control both the House and the Senate, then we would see what stalwart conservatives both of these men really are.

Well. Go.

‘Why don’t we care more about our people?’

My work here is done

My work here is done

By Jeremy Beck, Wednesday, January 15, 2014

Meet the Press touches on immigration: ‘Why don’t we care more about our people?

On Sunday, January 5th, National Economic Council director Gene Sperling and CNBC’s Mad Money host Jim Cramer briefly touched on immigration on Meet The Press with David Gregory.

Sperling said “….tell me if we were to pass bipartisan immigration reform that would bring in more skilled workers, more STEM workers into our economy, if we were to launch a major effort to create jobs and modernize our infrastructure, of course that would increase the attractiveness of job location in our country.”

The notion that we need to import more foreign workers to keep U.S. jobs here is difficult to defend, particularly when 20 million Americans who want a full-time job can’t find one. What difference does it make to U.S. job seekers if the job they want is filled by a foreign worker domestically or abroad? Either way, they are out of luck.

Only one out of every two graduates with STEM degrees is hired into a STEM job. As the New York Times reported last July, “plenty of potential candidates exist for thousands of positions for which companies want to import guest workers, according to an analysis of three million resumes of job seekers in the United States.”

Cramer didn’t specifically address the oversupply of U.S. STEM workers but his response to Sperling was a perspective in frequently heard on the Sunday morning talk shows:

“David don’t you find it interesting that the dogma is now, post Clinton, pro-immigration at a time when we have a much larger supply of labor than we need and pro-free trade even though we’re supposed to be greenhouse gas oriented. We know where those jobs go. Those jobs leave this country to countries that can pollute all they want. I’ve always wanted to know why the Democrats didn’t say “you know what, we need a defense against the countries that take our jobs and pollute all over.” Well we don’t care about that. What we care about is when workers come to this country from other countries, they get jobs. Why don’t we care more about our people?”

View the exchange here.

View Cramer’s CNBC follow up to his Meet The Press appearance here.Cramer’s charge that the U.S. government cares more about finding jobs for new foreign workers than for unemployed Americans is a serious one, but government data backs him up.From 2000-2013 – a period that saw more immigration than any other time in U.S. history – all of the net employment gains went to immigrant workers. Stronger evidence that putting unemployed Americans back work is a low priority for Washington would be difficult to find.

The question of how mass immigration is impacting American mobility will have to wait for another Sunday show. Gregory avoided Cramer’s question, opting instead to move on to Wall Street, which incidentally profits from mass immigration by way of depressed wages.

It’s a humiliating failure of a Congress whose members seem to going their own way while we see the Dems sticking together under their evil maniac Progressive Leadership. The Dems rule with a heavy hand in their quest to bring marxist ideology to America. Many believe they threaten sane members with, we will not support your reelection ect..

Newt Gingrich was the only candidate that could have gathered the Republicans to do right for the American people. He had done it before and could have done it again. There was no one that could whip the congress into shape and force them together.. Only Newt. He had the —– you know whats to do it. And he does not like to fail. He is confident.strong and has done it before. Well Newts time is passed and we must look to a leader willing to fight for our country again. Perhaps Rand Paul is that leader. Some of the Tea Party still want the perfect get along politicians. And libs keep spouting compromise.. “Sorry but get a grip”. We are talking about our country and what our fore fathers fought and died for.Compromise is for the losers and, we cannot lose the Country that made us the greatest, that gave us the lifestyle never before seen in the working class.” Obama and his handlers refuse to compromise. . My father worked very hard at times two jobs and was able to give us a home a new car every few years and even the first Color TV’s .on a working class salary. College was affordable and if you were poor you could work and go to school. Many of my age became the best and brightest. What has happened to us that we have allowed Politically Correct Socialist spin to shape public opinion. Most are afraid to speak up and say stop no more!!! The majority has let the minority run over us. And now we are sure to become the minority if we do not pull together. Aside from millions of illegal immigrants most Americans have no idea that over one hundred thousand legal immigrants come every month. That is over a Million a year. Just for Democrat votes. Think about it. This really is our last chance to put our country on the right path again. If we fail mediocracy will kill the American dream for our country and our children.

Let Those that came to washington with a mandate to change things take over and we the real majority put men like Rand Paul in the White House. We will not be sorry. With a Dem President and a Dem Senate and our weak leadership in the Congress ( that has no idea how to pick the battles) it’s just impossible.

We need one of the new Congressmen take the leadership with a tiger for the Constitution as their President. And no complaining when he gets tough with the Dems. Don’t blame the new congress. Blame the old Dems and Republicans. leadership in Congress and Senate we can rid ourselves of Rhino’s. And save our country.

7,076 new regulatory rules have been issued under the President in just his first several months. he campaigned against regulations.  and  MILLIONS more Americans are on food stamps
gas prices have risen 80% since Obama took office and have been well above $3.00 a gallon everyday in 2011. Obama was again dealing away Social Security by trying to reduce payroll tax by two percentage points, which will divert an estimated $120 billion from the SS trust fund. The resulting debt is shifted to the general treasury for repayment, increasing the deficit and the excuse to link Social Security with the manufactured panic over the debt .Compromising the future solvency of Social Security with a payroll tax holiday. Economist Michael Hudson notes that Obama has swapped a $13 trillion bailout of Wall St. for cuts to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, as well as education.

I know you all know this already. You can see the weakness in the the Conservative Party. Its not all their fault. It is the lack of a strong leader who will pull them together.Boehner cant do it he has caved spouting tough talk and, then voting with the dems. And call out the weasels in the party weasels like McCain and Graham. Graham talks tough for the camera but votes with the Dems, calling it compromise”We should not care what he has to do to get us on the right path again  We must not let the political spin that they will try to destroy our candidates with. It will be  ruthless and cruel .As we have learned The Obama Progressives do not care how they get power and they are willing to ruin any man.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Saving The United States Of America is not the Job for A Rhino Compromising President. obama bows to saudi king bestWe must give our next Candidate support. And we should only ask that he fights for our our Constitution and appoints Judges that follow this perfect document containing our fundamental laws: a document outlining the basic principles by which our country is governed.. Obama administration has put all the regulations and new laws in place and now in his second term he is implementing them. They are prepared to fight and the Fema Camps and UN soldiers are ready to assist.

After five days of debate over dozen of amendments, the Judiciary Committee voted 13-5 in support of the bill, with three Republicans joining the committee’s 10 Democrats. The legislation emerged with its core provisions largely intact, including new visa program.Senate immigration negotiators are targeting as many as two dozen Republicans for a show-of-force majority — which they believe may be the only way a reform bill will have the momentum to force the House to act.

Reform proponents are looking for votes far beyond the usual moderate suspects to senators in conservative bastions such as Utah, Georgia and Wyoming. The senators landed on the list because they’re retiring, representing agricultural states, anxious to get the issue behind the party, important to persuading skittish House Republicans or all of the above.

Senators and their immigration reform allies insist the goal of 70-plus votes laid out last month by   corrupt, immoral,  unconvincing,   dishonest  Gang of Eight leaders Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) is more than just attainable under the right circumstances — it’s imperative. Immigration bill would grant 33 million new green cards in the first 10 years after enactment

NumbersUSA

BREAKING: Our Capitol Hill team has finished crunching the numbers of the new amnesty bill and found that the bill would grant 33 million new green cards in the first 10 years after enactment. Look for more details to come…

The 844-page bill filed by the Senate’s Gang of Eight is filled with so many waivers, exemptions, loopholes, and broken promises that it’s almost too much to keep up with. The most recent item that can be filed in the “broken promises” category has to do with back taxes. Some more digging through the bill has found that illegal aliens will not have to pay back taxes before applying for and receiving amnesty. Sec. 2101 of the bill describes the process by which most of the nation’s 11-18 million illegal aliens can apply for Registered Provisional Immigrant Status (including work permits).Under a subsection entitled “Payment of Taxes”, the bill states that illegal aliens will have to satisfy “any applicable Federal tax liability.” The next paragraph defines “applicable Federal tax liability” as any income taxes that have been assessed by the IRS. So, for those illegal aliens that haven’t filed a tax return, they won’t have to pay any taxes on any work they may have been paid for in the past.

Why is this important? For starters, when the Gang of Eight released their “framework” for immigration reform back in January, they said that illegal aliens would have to “pay back taxes” in order to receive an amnesty. The next day, Sen. Marco Rubio spoke on the Senate floor and said that illegal aliens would have to “pay back taxes.” Now that there’s a bill – there’s no requirement to pay back taxes unless the illegal alien has already been flagged by the IRS for owing back taxes.

We’re seeing this become a trend with the Gang of Eight. We were told there would be triggers. Now we know the triggers are meaningless. We were told there would be enforcement before legalization. Now we know it’s legalization before enforcement. We were told there would be an entry/exit system. Now we know the exit system excludes all land ports. What else will we learn in the upcoming weeks?

In light of this development, we’ve posted new faxes on your Action Board to send to your Three Members of Congress.

HOUSE TAKES DIFFERENT APPROACHHouse Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte indicated this week that he would take a much different approach on immigration than what’s going on in the Senate. He said there would be three pieces of legislation: 1) mandatory E-Verify, 2) a new guest worker program for agriculture, and 3) changes to the high-skilled visa program. The first bill was introduced today, and it’s a good one! Rep. Lamar Smith has reintroduced the Legal Workforce Act, H.R.1772, which would require all employers to use the E-Verify system. The bill is similar to the version introduced and passed by the Judiciary Committee during the last Congress but with a few modest changes.Rep. Smith’s bill would require most employers to use E-Verify within the first 6 months of enactment. It would phase it in for smaller employers over a two-year period. (The Gang of Eight’s bill takes 5 years to phase in E-Verify.) The bill also contains provisions that would close up a few of the known issues within the E-Verify system and allow employers to run current employees through the system.

We’ve posted new faxes on your Action Board to send to your House Rep. asking them to cosponsor the bill.

Obama tyranny

Mass immigration has decimated the poor and working class in america already — forcing them to compete dog eat dog style for jobs scraps against tidal waves of even poorer, low skilled and cheaper immigrants. wages have gone through the floor because of this insane policy.

Granting these people citizenship will overnight put 11 million more people on full welfare entitlement — america simply cannot afford this and the poor and working class are going to take a second hit because of it. Not sure how democrats have made this a ‘racist’ issue because its african americans who are going to take the brunt of these reforms and this mass immigration policy.

*At tax time in April, when 53% of Americans are paying taxes, the new citizens would be getting huge bonus checks that include all the money that they paid in during the year plus EITC and Child Tax Credits. ($22,000 no federal income tax) The 53% cannot afford more burdens to pay for. We already have 40,000,000 home grown welfare cases that we have to support.
Lawmakers are about to give the OK to millions more.
We see that the systems we allow to shape our lives are camouflaged as serving us when in fact, we the people are the servants. It seems even the institutions and activist groups with altruistic beginnings are infiltrated by instruments of chaos or control.
“The impact of immigration on our public health is often overlooked”
The rapidly swelling population of illegal aliens in our country has also set off a resurgence of contagious diseases that had been totally or nearly eradicated by our public health system.

According to Dr. Laurence Nickey, director of the El Paso heath district “Contagious diseases that are generally considered to have been controlled in the United States are readily evident along the border … The incidence of tuberculosis in El Paso County is twice that of the U.S. rate. Dr. Nickey also states that leprosy, which is considered by most Americans to be a disease of the Third World, is readily evident along the U.S.-Mexico border.

the New England Journal of Medicine noted that a majority (57.8%) of all new cases of tuberculosis in the United States in 2007 were diagnosed in foreign-born persons. The TB infection rate among foreign-born persons was 9.8 times as high as that among U.S.born persons. It should also be kept in mind that among U.S. citizens who contract TB their exposure to the disease may well have come from exposure to a non-U.S. citizen.

The pork tapeworm  along the U.S. border, threatening to ravage victims with symptoms ranging from seizures to death. … The same [Mexican] underclass has migrated north to find jobs on the border, bringing the parasite and the sickness—cysticercosis—its eggs can cause[.] Cysts that form around the larvae usually lodge in the brain and destroy tissue, causing hallucinations, speech and vision problems, severe headaches, strokes, epileptic seizures, and in rare cases death.”3

The problem, however, is not confined to the border region, as illegal immigrants have rapidly spread across the country into many new economic sectors such as food processing, construction, and hospitality services.

Typhoid struck Silver Spring, Maryland,  when an immigrant from the Third World (who had been working in food service in the United States for almost two years) transmitted the bacteria through food at the McDonald’s where she worked. River blindness, malaria, and guinea worm, have all been brought to Northern Virginia by immigration.
Contrary to common belief, tuberculosis (TB) has not been wiped out in the United States, mostly due to illegal migration. in California, it was 61 percent of the cases; in Hawaii, 83 percent; and in Washington state, 46 percent. The Queens, New York, health department attributed 81 percent of new TB cases in 2001 to immigrants.

While millions of Americans can’t find a job, Congress continues to add a million immigrants each year to compete with our own unemployed. Who should get any new jobs next year: Our own Unemployed Cuban and Hispanic Americans? Or another million legal immigrants.? And mexican Illegals.
